True Love Production

My name is Adam Lesar, producer of the independent film "True Love," and I am writing to inform you of an exciting development in the central MN area. As a supporter of the arts and theatre, or just someone who enjoys movies, we thought you would be interested to know that I and my colleagues Eli Ebb and Derek Hanson have formed an independent film production company, Comic World Productions, LLC. The three of us are currently theatre/film students at St. Cloud State University . Our first major project is the development of the feature film True Love. We have been working on this project since August 2003 and have made significant headway, including signing three important talents to the film: Bruce Hyde (actor), Christopher Trussell (composer), and James Gross (Director of Photography).

Eli began writing the screenplay in August 2003 and have recently drafted through 9 different revisions before finishing the final draft. Notably, Jim Levi, one of the creators of Nick at Night, helped critique the screenplay. He gave us some great feedback which allowed us to improve upon what he said was an already very solid story. Jim Levi has a great story mind, and is a mentor and friend of Shawn Otto, who recently wrote the screenplay for House of Sand and Fog, starring Ben Kingsley and Jennifer Connelly.

Comic World Productions LLC is a manifestation of our desire to challenge the Hollywood machine and bring productions back to Minnesota . We want to utilize the distinctive character of Minnesota and Minnesotans to bring great stories to life. We believe in the talent we have assembled, and with their help we will make a high quality film that can be enjoyed by our community, as well as other communities around the nation.
